Elin Öhrling, who was born in 1979, lives and works in Stockholm. She was trained at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås. Elin chiefly works with the designing of patterns, and for Almedahls she has elaborated the patterns Bubbles and Alba. The reference point of the pictures is an interpretation of the sea and the bird life in its surroundings. In Elin’s designs the abstract and naturalistic forms often meet. The patterns of Bubbles and Alba are to a large extent burnt-out, in order to give the textiles an expression that interplays with the public room.
