Heimtextil 2009 was a busy and interesting tradeshow although fewer exhibitors than usual in the sun protection halls. Some new companies exhibited and a large number of representatives from the trade were visiting. The trend was positive with numerous interesting meetings.
The department for license products of Almedahls AB was exhibiting in Hall 8 and the new range of bed products for children made out of ecological cotton received a very positive response.
In the Trend Forum visionary trends and inspirational material were presented. The theme for the trends for 2009-2010 was ”expect the unexpected”. Shiny materials, large and colourful designs and interesting contrasts between different materials, represented trends such as Time Traveller, Fortune Teller, Alchemist, Witchcraft and Enchanted.
The ecological thinking was represented in a special exhibition with new sustainable and innovative materials at the Trend Forum and through a number of seminars and speeches during the tradeshow.
Next Heimtextil will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, on 13-16 January 2010.
