Pia Lehtovuori was born in 1972 in Helsingfors, Finland. She was trained at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås and at the Royal College of Art in London.
For Almedahls she has designed among others “Glimt” and “Plexi”, which both represent the fascination of repetitions and repeats, a recurring inspiration in her work.
Pia was nominated for the National Grid Transco Transformation Award in 2003 in England. And she was the winner of the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers Award UK in 2002 and John Lewis’, Partnership Bursary Award in 2002. And before that, in 2001, she was the winner of the Woolmark Award in England.
